Howdy!

Hi! My name is Rochelle Olmsted and I am currently seeking representation for my ocean interactive picture books HELP THIS SEAHORSE, HELP THIS JELLY, & HELP THIS HAMMERHEAD.

I currently wrote three new picture books and I am working on the illustration sample pages.

Also my sci-fi, adventure series FRIENDS FROM URANUS. A middle grade novel based on my family, if microscopic aliens took up base in my toilet, and were controlling my husband like an evil robot.

I recently ramped up my young adult coming-of-age, fantasy INVISIBLE LIGHT. It’s about a fifteen-year-old mermaid who has to move to the dumpster Bermuda Triangle, one sun before her first Elder classes. She has to train her powers, make new friends, and of course weird unexplainable things start to happen to her. Things no one has ever seen before, throw in some bullies and you have a fantasy you can’t put down.

For my blog, it’s my year long Gratitude Challenge. I’m committing 365 days in a row to writing why I am grateful. I think of it as an open gratitude journal and I see myself as a gratitude witch. Here to help you on your journey or to show you how I do it. Take it or leave it.

I am a stay at home mom/stepmom, for the time being. My handsome husband is a Journeyman Plumber. Together in a Brady-bunch-style, we have two 14 year olds, a 20 year old and a 22 year old. I have a fourteen year old puppy- Scrappy. (Scooby in FRIENDS FROM URANUS.) Our newest addition to our family is two sugar gliders, that are technically my daughter’s but my whole family loves them too. I love creating in anyway, pottery, crafts, painting, drawing, procreate, puzzles, baking, and I have a real nostalgia for 80’s/90’s toys.
