Day 12 of 28

(Gratitude challenge inside a gratitude challenge? Yes! Also day 42 of 365 ✨)

“Stand strong in your truth.” & “Replenish your own resources.”
Sacred Forest Oracle Deck by Denise Linn.

Today I sat down and thought of people who have inspired me to be who I am today. I really honed in on people I know who have passed on. I spoke out loud to my grandparents on both sides, and even grandma Syl, my uncle’s mom. I spoke to two of my aunts who have passed and my husband’s stepdad who passed. I never met him or my grandma on my dad’s side. But I still had reasons to be grateful for them and I let them know like I was straight up talking to them. I cried a lot, but I am happy to talk to them, letting them know how they’ve impacted my life for the better.

Here’s my gratitude journal for the day. I’ve been croqueting all day today. Naturally, I only wrote down five today.

Tomorrow’s practice, day 13, is writing down things you desire and pretending like you already got them. What I like to think, it’s a visualization practice. Visualize receiving something you desire, write it down like you’re being grateful for it, and say thank you three times before and after. I like to think about how my body would react, how the sun feels on my face when I hear the news. Details like that. Last year my husband would find me visualizing and ask me what I was doing? I would say I’m imagining laying in our boat and letting the waves crush into to it, how the radio is barely on, and the sun is kissing my skin. He instantly got down on the floor with me, held my hand and visualized it with me. So, let your imagination take over for tomorrow. Dare to daydream!

Have a fantastical day!

I’m constantly surrounded by farts, in all serious I am. Three stepsons—12,17,20 one gaseous daughter of 11, and a hungry husband, whose been trying to ditch oven me for the last three years! (I’m a ninja though, so he hasn’t succeeded yet 😉) Right now, I’m making my way through College- about a year and a half left, and then I’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in English and hopefully a book published or at least become a literary agent. In these posts I’m going to cheerfully complain about my kids complaining and the awful smells I endure on a regular basis. Hope ya’ll have fun reading from this artsy Michigander! 😏
