I wrote in my gratitude journal earlier today because the sun spoke to me. It’s down below.

I had a good day today. I visualized while waiting for my kids in my Jeep. I am grateful for my vehicle for getting me to and from places.

My current transport, the heat is broken. So, I was visualizing one with heat. More specifically, when we got the Jeep later on we bought our first boat. It was an old boat, but still was fast. When we were first driving the Jeep, I remember grabbing my husband’s hand and saying, “I feel like we’ve leveled up.” Then again we felt the same way when we were able to pull our boat with the Jeep. That memory with the emotion of gratitude is what I did today.

For tomorrow, Day 14 (also known as the midpoint of this 28 day challenge!), it’s all about having a magical day. To think through your plans and say thank you before doing the arrand, or chore. Whatever it is you have planned for the day, before you do it think about how grateful it went and say thank you.

For example, tomorrow I have to make sandwiches for my husband and my oldest boys because they’re working an hour away. So when I wake up and be grateful this task only takes a couple minutes. Then I have to pick up Aidan and drive him to school. So, I am going to be grateful for him being ready in the morning and waiting for me for the pickup. Thank you! After that I have to wake up Aurora and take her to the orthodontist to get a scan and fix her button chain. Thank you for that being easy and effortless! There’s an example of my morning. So when I wake up I’ll take a minute or two and be grateful for everything going so well and easily. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Have a soul touching hug kind of day today!

I’m constantly surrounded by farts, in all serious I am. Three stepsons—12,17,20 one gaseous daughter of 11, and a hungry husband, whose been trying to ditch oven me for the last three years! (I’m a ninja though, so he hasn’t succeeded yet 😉) Right now, I’m making my way through College- about a year and a half left, and then I’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in English and hopefully a book published or at least become a literary agent. In these posts I’m going to cheerfully complain about my kids complaining and the awful smells I endure on a regular basis. Hope ya’ll have fun reading from this artsy Michigander! 😏

  1. There is much to be grateful for. For example, I am sitting in a Walmart parking lot waiting for my delivery order so I can make some side money. My first thoughts are I am angry I need to work a side hustle and that I must wait for so long. But then I recalled that I am grateful I have this Avenue to meet my need and that I am able to perform the tasks associated with this work. So thanks for reminding me to see the gratitude in this day.
