I am full of emotions today. Mostly because my brain could not stop thinking! I actually turned on some Whitney, danced, and sang until I got rid of the continuous noise in my head. How can you be upset with Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”? It worked and I remembered how to be present. With that said, I actually had a pretty great day in present. I’ll figure out my issues with social media soonish, maybe.

Just so it’s noted, Aidan took notes in math twice in a row! Also, Aurora made a bunch of friends being on Tech Crew for the musical Grease and couldn’t stop talking about all the friends she has now. She was beaming and full of stories she wanted to share with me. When I first dropped her off on set a couple weeks ago, she asked me to turn around because she didn’t know anyone. I gave her some tough love of, “Oh well, I’m not coming back until it’s done.” (It was 15 minutes of hearing out her anxiety first on the phone, then tough love, but still.) Anyways, this year has been hard for me since they’re High schoolers and can be pretty mean to me specifically. Today I felt proud and I am truly grateful for that feeling.
Here’s my gratitude journal for today
I went through my body earlier and gave gratitude to everything that makes me, me. For tomorrow, Day 17, it puts your focus on money and in different ways it comes in for you. How to be grateful for discounts on a item you want, or a vacation that comes up in your price range. Stay in gratitude for items you’ve bought recently and being able to have the money to obtain the items you desire. I actually did this when I came home from the grocery store today, not realizing it was the practice for tomorrow. I legit told every item I put away, thank you for the money to buy this. Thank you for this top being on clearance for four dollars. Thank you for the eggs and the money to buy them. Anyways, you get the idea.
