Day 65

Is this that gratitude year challenge? Yes, you’re right! 65 days out of 365!

“Enjoy the ridiculousness of life and be willing to jump in.”
&
“Spirit will always be there with gifts to sustain us.”
Colette Baron-Reid’s
The Spirit Animal Oracle Deck.

Today started off with gratitude from a place of pain. I talked about how I put curtains up yesterday. Well, I left a metal part of the bracket for the blinds on the floor. Oops. So, when I went to the bathroom during the night I stepped right into the metal piece. I am grateful I didn’t see what was into my foot when I pulled it out because I wouldn’t have been brave to pull it out in the light. I am grateful for the blood I saw to let me know I did a good job of hurting myself. I am grateful for my husband waking up and treating it for me because it’s in the ball of my foot and it went deep into it making it hard for me to do alone. I am grateful my husband at lunch for retreating it and wrapping it for me. I am also grateful for him for taking the kids out to dinner because I was exhausted and in pain, and for allowing me to rest. Thank you, thank you, thank you! With that said, I still chaperoned my daughter’s choir festival and was playful with the other kids in the car. I was able to be there even though my foot was throbbing, there were seats when I couldn’t take it anymore. I also was able to play with a seven year old was happy to have someone notice and play with him. Also, a big also thank you for Aidan completing my teaching him math today. It was unexpected and pleasant to hear. It was really nice watching my daughter’s choir festival and them placing the highest for the division.

Here’s my gratitude journal for today

Here’s the metal piece that punctured my foot

Have a marvelous day!✨

I’m constantly surrounded by farts, in all serious I am. Three stepsons—12,17,20 one gaseous daughter of 11, and a hungry husband, whose been trying to ditch oven me for the last three years! (I’m a ninja though, so he hasn’t succeeded yet 😉) Right now, I’m making my way through College- about a year and a half left, and then I’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in English and hopefully a book published or at least become a literary agent. In these posts I’m going to cheerfully complain about my kids complaining and the awful smells I endure on a regular basis. Hope ya’ll have fun reading from this artsy Michigander! 😏

  1. Oh, that must have hurt. I hope your foot is okay now. Take it a bit easy today, and don’t push yourself too much. There are no coincidences in this Universe. Maybe take this as a sign to slow down a bit?
    Much love 💚
