Day 5 of 28

Christmas cactus bloomed today

I had an alright day, some ups, some downs. I am grateful to host a sleepover at my house because of watching movies from my childhood with them, hearing them laughing, playing with games, hide and seek, and making food for everyone. That was fantastic. I had to speak a truth that I knew would hurt a close relationship of mine, but I felt I needed to because I could feel my energy shift with them. It’s something I’ll be reflecting on for a while to figure out why. My husband came home from working up north. I am grateful for his love and how happy he is to see me. My Oracle card I pulled before typing tonight is below.

“Stark honesty is called for at this time in your life.”
“”Miracles follow when you take the time to be genuine.”
by Denise Linn Scared Forest Oracle

Here’s my gratitude journal for today. I did it in the morning before everyone woke up.

Here’s my note I put in my kitchen for the day. I spent the morning after my journalling thinking about all what my parents provided for me during my childhood and thinking how grateful I am for the shampoo they made sure I had; or the birthday presents, the campground weekends, the sports I got to play, and how I always had a roof over my head.

These daily exercises are just to let you think about different parts of your life to be grateful for, and focus your attention to one aspect daily.

Day six is about your career or work you do. Rhonda suggests on this day to pretend you have an invisible manager following you around, writing down in a notebook everything you’re grateful for about your current job. She said if you’re a stay at home mom, say what you’re grateful for during the day taking care of your family. Have your invisible manager take notes during the day by saying “I’m so grateful for____” and she’ll keep score throughout the day.

Have a magical day!

I’m constantly surrounded by farts, in all serious I am. Three stepsons—12,17,20 one gaseous daughter of 11, and a hungry husband, whose been trying to ditch oven me for the last three years! (I’m a ninja though, so he hasn’t succeeded yet 😉) Right now, I’m making my way through College- about a year and a half left, and then I’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in English and hopefully a book published or at least become a literary agent. In these posts I’m going to cheerfully complain about my kids complaining and the awful smells I endure on a regular basis. Hope ya’ll have fun reading from this artsy Michigander! 😏
